A tweet from @AlltheAnime and a blog post led me to some great Studio Ghibli fan art this morning. The artist is malboro, who has done a small set of Ghibli vignettes in Art Noveuaux style. The one above is, of course, from「ハウルの動く城」(Hauru no Ugoku Shiro/Howl’s Moving Castle).
Have a look and pick your favourite. Mine is Howl, followed by Laputa, in case you are wondering – both lend themselves wonderfully to the Art Noveaux style. Totoro, meanwhile, doesn’t work so well (the drawing is lovely, but is moving away from the Art Noveaux). Continue reading
