• Oranges & Sunshine – film from Down Under, with some stellar Australian cast – you may recognise some faces from The Lord of the Rings.
  • Angels Crest – the snowy landscape shots look like they will provide an amazing background to this film.
Bonus trailers:

Films that are screening at the British Film Institute (BFI) Film Festival this month, but that I unfortunately will not be going to see (due to lack of time and money):
  • Restless (2011) – directed by Gus Van Sant, who always makes rather interesting but definitely not lighthearted films (Elephant; Paranoid Park and Milk are some impressive ones I have seen). Restless stars Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, whose films I always try to watch.
  • Atmen (Breathing, 2011, trailer not subtitled) – the directorial debut of veteran Austrian actor Karl Markovics. Won Best European Film in the Directors Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival.
  • We Need to Talk about Kevin (2011) – directed by Lynne Ramsay. Think Columbine High School massacre, but told from the point of view of the parents of the shooter. British independent film starring the always fabulous Tilda Swinton.
